Rogan

Advanced Sessions

BWR · NGW · NORTH

The XL Bully. British circuit experience, brought back to the EVO ring.

A former multiple-time BWR Tag Team Champion and a BWR mainstay, Rogan has also wrestled for New Generation Wrestling and NORTH. He brings hard-hitting singles and tag team experience into his coaching, with a focus on the timing, teamwork and crowd awareness that live shows demand.

He leads EVO’s advanced sessions, helping trainees put their skills together in the ring. For focused time on something specific, you can also request a 1-to-1 with Rogan through My EVO, from £30 an hour.

Ace Matthews

Adult Fundamentals

BWR · NGW · NORTH

A wrestler and teacher who knows how to make the fundamentals stick.

Trained by Nathan Cruz at New Generation Wrestling, Ace has wrestled for BWR, NGW and NORTH. A BWR mainstay since 2017, he has held the Open Division Championship and brings years of live-show experience into his coaching. He has also worked holiday camp tours, where character, storytelling and connecting with a crowd matter as much as the moves.

With a background in school teaching, Ace brings experience of breaking things down and helping people learn. He leads EVO’s adult fundamentals sessions, giving new trainees a place to start and experienced wrestlers time to sharpen the basics.

The Rowe Bros

Junior Club

BWR · United Wrestling

From EVO’s Kids Club to tag team champions at Grimsby’s biggest venue.

Zac and Cam started in EVO’s Kids Club. They worked their way from those first junior sessions to winning tag team gold on the BWR stage at the town’s biggest venue, as well as competing for United Wrestling.

Now they coach the junior class where their own journey began. They know what it feels like to be the child taking those first steps in the ring, and can show young trainees where practice, teamwork and sticking at it can lead.

Scott Bell

Referee Training

PROGRESS · RevPro · BWR Senior Referee

Learn the other side of the ropes from BWR’s senior referee.

Scott is BWR’s senior referee and has also refereed for promotions including PROGRESS, RevPro, TNT and New Generation Wrestling. Having trained as a wrestler before moving into refereeing, he understands a match from both sides.

At EVO, he leads referee training. It is a route into wrestling for people who want to be part of the action in a different role, covering the positioning, communication and awareness needed to help a match run.
